Hello out there to all you slaves of the workforce.

Spending our days here in the depths of the "Apple-atcha" mountains, the NRUMC crew is facing challenges even greater than those of the jobs they left. (Not me personally. I'm worked to the bone by Larry Clingerman.)

I'm going to give you an overview of the job undertaken by

The Job Squad

Myself (Guru and Overlord of the team)
Colin "Lice-en-ring" (Certified Taste Tester)
Matt Klino (Roof Monkey)
Bonna Milem (Spider Killer)
Susan Snyder (The Lunch Time Alarm Clock)
Carol Alderman (Just your Average Bully)
Marcus Burry (King of the Screwdriver Set in Reverse)
Great Bill Clickety Klino (Actual Guru and Overlord)

This is the trailer that we're working on. It was leaking and the water damage was crippling the entire house as well as providing an uncomfortable situation for our host Virginia.

As you can see, the preceding group that tackled the house was made up of city slickers. That's right, I said it. I don't know who did this cob job but that entire roof is supported by about three nails. They didn't spread it all the way over the trailer either, allowing rain to continue soaking the whole roof. NRUMC put forward the money to finish the job.

The ceilings were completely ruined. The following are some photos of the drywalling we've been doing.
Susan tackled every job she could get her hands on and excelled at drilling. I tried to get a photo of her sticking her tongue out in concentration but I missed it.

Marcus: "Colin! Come help me put this screw in. I've tried to put it in about five or six times but it just won't go in."

Colin walked over and laughed. "Broseph. Try taking it out of
reverse.

Stay classy NR-Dub.

Wow. You guys are my heros. I hope that Randy and I can join you next time. Not only are you making people's every day lives so much better, but you're giving the world a demonstration of what Christian love really is.

Be safe everyone. We miss you.

We can't wait to hear about your trip. We still remember the feeling of gratification when we went on the mission trip a few years ago. You all should be very proud of the work you have completed and the ministry you have shared with others. Great Job! We pray for safe travel home to NR.
Blessings, Charlie & Linda T.
